Founded in 1782, Washington College was the first college chartered in the sovereign United States of America. Their goal back then was to cultivate responsible citizen-leaders. Nowadays, they are committed to giving their students the chance to succeed on their own terms through purposeful choices, enabling a healthy and regenerative global community.
Chestertown, Maryland was founded in 1706. It was established as a port town and played a significant role in the colonial era, serving as a bustling trade hub along the Chester River.
